A brief History It begins in London, where legendary punk guitarist Derwood Andrews, formerly of GENERATION X, finds American singer Elizabeth Westwood and forms the highly addictive pop band WESTWORLD. Their beat box meets Rock'n'Roll style takes Europe by storm and the band racks up a string of top ten hits and much success.
Always evolving, the duo eventually finds themselves moving west to the Arizona desert in search of new inspiration. They spend years soaking up Americana in the form of slide guitar and wild west culture. While on a trip back to England, Derwood is introduced to the still underground jungle movement through pirate radio. A vision is formed. Westworld moves back to London and begin working with avant-garde producer Martin Lee Stephenson and Moondogg are born.
It is the dynamic clash of dreamy desert music and hard- edged London breakbeats that make Moondogg so compellingly good. Their first album Fat lot of Good, made quite an impact on British reviewers, receiving several single of the week and album of the month listings and tons of praise. God's Wallop, their second album, was a limited release but recognized by many as a masterpiece. At the same time, the bands work also appeared on the SLC Punk and Better than Chocolate' movie soundtracks.
A.T.L.I.T.W. is the bands third release and personal favorite, put out on their own Rubbercheese label.
A cross breed of many forms of music, live and programmed, clean and distorted, and destined to be another classic from the crew that knows no boundaries. It's unique concoction of blues guitar, haunting vocals and rolling drum and bass make it no ordinary release, but then again, this is no ordinary band.
